Summer Camp

Join us every summer as we learn about The Jersey Shore through Science, Music and Art. We will explore activities indoors and outdoors as we create mud pies, sand castles, splash day and much more during our camp adventure. Children will have the opportunity to listen to stories, learn new songs, discover science, explore gymnastics, enjoy celebrations but best of all, simply to have fun! Camp is available to infants, toddlers, preschoolers through Kindergarten Graduates.

The preschool program is a great opportunity to introduce new students to their new classroom environment. Our summer program helps preschoolers adjust to this new experience easing separation anxiety and helping them to build trust and to become comfortable away from home.

The Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Enrichment Program reinforces previous learning, promotes new learning and provides continuity from school year to school year. Studies have shown that children can fall behind in their academic readiness over the summer months. By enrolling your child into a quality program, they have an improved capability for retaining and improving skills and concepts learned over the school year.

In addition to our regular curriculum, we have special activities and visitors to Beachwood Nursery School. Yoga, Music, Karate, Fun Bus and Splash Days are a few extra special activities that take place during our day. Special visitors also include the Ocean County Library, Color Me Mine, Petz Pals, Jake's Branch and Cooper Environmental Center to name a few.

We also provide a Summer Reading Camp. We look forward to a fun-filled summer with your child!

Program Descriptions

• Music & Movement will be offered by our resident Music Together specialist. She will be sharing new songs from the MT® Summer Collection as well as some of our favorites.
• Karate with Sensei Tim will be 30 minutes sessions of age appropriate karate instruction.
• Yoga w/ Mrs. Keenan will help children be comfortable moving their bodies, stretching & breathing. We will learn various yoga poses from pretending to be animals to objects in nature as well as having fun inventing new yoga poses.
• Fun Bus is a converted school bus that is air conditioned. It rolls onto our property & parks near the playground. Each classroom visits the Fun Bus for 20-30 minute sessions of playing on the gymnastics equipment. Go to www.funbuses.com for more information.
• The Toddler Program offers opportunities to refine previous skills while acknowledging the toddler's newly acquired motor skills & the need to actively explore & discover the environment. Staff support the individuality of each child while providing safe boundaries. Staff encourage & support emerging independence.
